1. We are still here

I know that we haven’t been on this in like 2 weeks. But we’ve just been busy lately.

School starts on Tuesday. I’m pretty scared since this is my last year and I have no clue what I’m going to study….
I might go back for another semester to do Co-op to see what I like.

Random fact: I used to do pilates like 3 times a week but then when exams came around, I was too busy to work out and then during the summer I was too busy to work out. So basically, when I was covered in sweaters, I was fit but then when it was bikini season, I didnt look perfect T_T

I am vairy, vairy sleeeeeepy, so I am going to go to sleep.

    Tootles,
    Irene.

Death must be so beautiful. To lie in the soft brown earth, with the grasses waving above one’s head, and listen to silence. To have no yesterday, and no tomorrow. To forget time, to forget life, to be at peace.

I may still not know what I want to be when I grow up, but I do know that someday I want to live in a house filled with my books and travel souvenirs. And the walls that aren’t covered in bookshelves will be covered with photos of my family and friends. When I leave the house I will be going to a job I love, and I’ll return to a person I love. So, that’s the dream I’m working on.

Without books, history is silent, literature dumb, science crippled, thought and speculation at a standstill. Without books, the development of civilization would have been impossible. They are engines of change, windows on the world and lighthouses erected in the sea of time. They are companions, teachers, magicians, bankers of the treasures of the mind. Books are humanity in print.

  9. Day Three: August 24th

Today was pretty cool. Irene and I + Irene’s sister, Desiree, went to the library. We all got a total of about six books? Or something. Probably more. We all chose one to read first. I’m reading The Princes of Ireland by Edward Rutherfurd. So far it’s like a really interesting History class all about Ireland. I love it. Desiree is reading Lauren Conrad’s second book and Irene is reading .. um, I can’t remember the name, aha. So our day consisted of: Me going over an hour later than planned, me watching Irene clean, us + her mum and sister watching Sonny With A Chance and Just For Laughs: Gags, us + Desiree going to the library, us coming back and reading the books, her dad coming home, us screwing around on Tumblr, us + her family eating dinner, me not feeling well so I go home. And yeah, that’s basically it. See? We’re total book nerds and best friends because we sat side-by-side on her couch with our noses in a book. Awh yeah. I can’t wait for school to start! We get to meet up with our Brazilian friend, Natalia. And our school is all changed up because of the new principal. Maybe it looks less like a bomb shelter and more like a school? Hopefully. Anyway, that’s about it. :)
